Breast nipple surgery covers several different cosmetic procedures which are used for the enhancement, correction or reduction of the nipple or areola, the brownish area around the nipple.
Breast Reconstruction after Mastectomy
Breast reconstruction surgery is the creation of a new breast shape, or mound, using surgery.
With many different methods available to you please see the information enclosed in these sections.
DIEP - TRAM Reconstruction
Moving tissue from the lower tummy to the chest, replacing the part of the breast that has been removed. A combination of skin, fat (DIEP), and sometimes a small piece of muscle (TRAM) are used.
After a breast reconstruction surgery, which rebuilds the breast mound, a nipple reconstruction procedure attempts to recreate the darker-colored areola and the elevated nipple.
Moles and Other Skin Lesions
As a person grows older and is exposed to sunlight, the skin changes in response to this exposure. Most people have some skin marks, such as freckles and moles, which may multiply or darken over time
